Biometric Authentication
Kasanova uses your device's biometric authentication for all sensitive operations.
Supported Methods:

Required For:
Viewing seed phrase
Sending transactions
Creating/minting tokens
Marketplace operations
How It Works:
Biometric authentication is automatically required
No toggle or setting needed
Kasanova uses your device's secure biometric system
Cannot be disabled (security by design)
Setup: Configure biometrics in your device settings:
iOS: Settings > Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode
Android: Settings > Security > Biometric authentication
If biometrics fail during an operation, Kasanova will cancel the action and prompt you to try again.
Viewing Your Seed Phrase
Your 12-word seed phrase is stored securely on your device. You can view it anytime to create a backup.
To View Seed Phrase:
Go to Settings
Tap Your Keys
Tap Show Seed Phrase
Authenticate with biometrics
View your 12 words
Write them down on paper
⚠️ Never screenshot or share your seed phrase
Verify Your Backup: Periodically check your written backup:
View seed phrase in app
Compare with written copy word-by-word
Verify all 12 words match exactly
Ensure correct order (numbered 1-12)
Transaction Security
Every transaction requires biometric authentication before broadcasting.
What You Confirm:
Transaction cannot proceed without biometric auth
Review screen shows recipient, amount, and fees
Once authenticated, transaction signs and broadcasts
No way to bypass security (by design)
Transaction Review Screen: Always check before authenticating:
✅ Recipient address is correct
✅ Amount is what you intend to send
✅ Fees are reasonable
✅ You want this transaction to go through
Transactions are irreversible once confirmed.
Wallet Backup
What to Backup:
✅ Seed phrase written on paper
✅ Store in fireproof safe or safety deposit box
✅ Multiple copies in different secure locations
❌ Never screenshot or take photos
❌ Never save in cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox)
❌ Never save in password managers
❌ Never share with anyone
Test Your Backup:
Periodically verify you can read your written seed phrase
Make sure it's legible and complete
Store copies in secure, separate physical locations
Without Seed Phrase:
Cannot recover wallet if device is lost
Cannot access funds
No one can help you recover (not even Kasanova)
Funds are permanently lost

If Your Device is Lost/Stolen
If You Have Your Seed Phrase:
Funds are safe (seed phrase gives access, not the device)
Get a new device
Install Kasanova
Import wallet using seed phrase
Consider creating new wallet and transferring funds immediately
If Someone Stole Your Device:
They cannot access wallet without your biometric
Biometric authentication prevents unauthorized access
However, if device is unlocked, funds are at risk
Immediately restore wallet on new device and transfer funds
Prevention:
Keep seed phrase in secure physical location
Never store seed phrase on the device
Multiple secure backups in different locations
Consider transferring funds to new wallet if device is compromised
Security Warnings
Kasanova May Alert You About:
Outdated app version (security updates available)
Connection issues that could affect security
Detected issues with transactions
Take Action Immediately:
Update app when prompted
Review recent transactions in Activity feed
Create new wallet if seed phrase is compromised (transfer all funds to new wallet)
